Blaine Barby from Marine Corps Security Cooperation Group participated in a subject matter expert exchange with Marines from Second Marine Detachment “Miller” of the Republic of Chile’s Marine Corps (Cuerpo de Infanteria Marina de la Armada de Chile), at Puerto Aldea, Chile, May 14–18. Subject matter expert exchanges such as this one (fire support coordination ) are part of a long-term regional engagement plan by U.S Southern Command and U.S. Marine Corps Forces, South, towards increasing service partnerships and improving each country’s capabilities and interoperability.
Pataskala, Ohio native, Marine Sgt. Kyle M. Campbell of Marine Corps Security Cooperation Group was awarded a Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal for exemplary performance of duties while serving as operations section plans noncommissioned officer and Defense Readiness Reporting System (DRRS-MC) clerk for the unit from June 2010 until May 2012. Campbell is a Watkins Memorial High School class of 2004 graduate.

Long-time Borger, Texas resident, Dallas McNutt was promoted to the rank of corporal during a ceremony, May 1. McNutt is currently serving as a fiscal clerk at the unit.

Marine Lt. Gen. Richard P. VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. -A team of Marine Corps Security Cooperation Group Marines strengthen their combat life-saving skills during an offsite training event aboard Camp Pendleton State Military Reservation in Virginia Beach, Va., March 23. The unit conducted a Medical Practical Applications Lane combat fitness course, which consisted of a three-mile litter run performed in boots and utilities.
